History
The vision began in 1996 while meeting with the leadership of several local school districts. With years of experience creating enterprise class software for Fortune 500 companies we came to see the many disconnects and gaps between the many varied systems educators were using. School districts want a single, comprehensive system to replace the many. So we leveraged the talent and experience of our software development team to design an end-to-end education system.
In 1998, after two years of research and design with educators across the country, D2SC began. We started testing a beta version in local high schools. By April 2001 version 3.0 was released for general availability and by September our implementation had been achieved.
Philosophy
We create world-class software for educators. Our focus is on listening to educators and delivering the solutions they need. Education software should conform to the school district's needs, not force the district to conform to it.
We will support any and all content. We believe educators need the freedom to pick and choose from many content providers or create their own content, align it with the standards and objectives and then be able to use it all in one integrated tool.
Each district is different. We believe districts need the freedom to configure their system to reflect their values, priorities and even nomenclature. Our goal is to make each user feel comfortable with the system by making it familiar and easy to use. We want each district to feel the system was designed for them.
Our Technology
D2SC is an Application Solution Provider (ASP) to our client districts. This means our software is delivered from our servers in hosting facilities around the U.S. so the chance of any downtime is minimal.
